Meet the new Polo with its lower, wider stance and strong structured lines.

Dynamic design.

As part of its new look, the new Polo now sports a more aerodynamic shape. From the nose to the tail, its wide-track structure, streamlined side mirrors and integrated roof spoilers enhance its strongly defined lines and sills. Across the entire range, we’ve also made stylish finishes as standard, such as body-coloured door mirror housing, door handles, and bumper bars.

Style inside and out.

The Polo is packed full of impressive standard features. From the newly designed cockpit with soft-touch dashboard. To the ergonomically designed front seats with improved comfort, driver’s seat height adjustment, and cloth upholstery. To the new generation RCD310 audio system, with CD player, MP3 compatibility and auxiliary input socket. All packaged in a sleek 3 or 5 door hatch, complete with athletic, rectangular halogen headlights.

We’ve completely redesigned the new Polo. Instantly you’ll notice it’s new athletic look, with lower, wider stance and strong, structured lines. Look closer and you’ll see touches of its new European design, including its striking new gloss black radiator grille and headlights. Then, find a colour to suit your personality. Choose from a new range of playful, fun bright shades to more sophisticated metallic paints.

Polo 77TSI and 66TDI Comfortline models offer an optional Alcantara/leatherette combination seat upholstery with individually heated front sports seats and carpet floor mats, front and rear.

Impressive alloy wheel options.

Stylish Lakeside 15” alloys come standard on the 77TSI and 66TDI Comfortline models. Or go with the optional 17” Boavista* alloys, to add that extra charisma to your Comfortline.

*17” Boavista alloy wheels are part of the optional Sport package for 77TSI and 66TDI Comfortline models.

Panoramic sunroof (Optional)

Enjoy the great outdoors when you’re inside your Polo, with the optional panoramic electric glass sunroof. This one piece roof system offers an electric tilt and sliding functionality, so you can open it a little bit or a lot. And to protect you from the extremes of nature, there’s also an integrated wind deflector (so it doesn’t get too breezy) and a sunblind to block the sun’s rays.

All models come standard with halogen headlights. The 77TSI and 66TDI Comfortline models are fitted out with twin headlights.

The better you sit, the more comfortable you are to enjoy the drive. In the Polo, the driver's seat can be conveniently adjusted to suit, improving your posture and enhancing your concentration. And to help you find the perfect driving position, the steering column is also adjustable for height and reach.

You are always well informed in the Polo, thanks to the optional multi-function display.* The display is positioned within your direct field of vision so you can check information on current economy figures – without taking your eyes off the road. The multi-function display informs the driver of trip time and length, speed, fuel consumption and distance till empty.

The optional RCD510 audio system* features a high resolution large colour TFT display with touch screen operation, a 6-disc CD changer with MP3 compatibility as well as an SD memory card slot.

Driving a car means assuming responsibility. For yourself, for your passengers and for other road users. That makes it all the more important to have comprehensive safety systems you can trust.

Protective passive safety.

To lessen the risk of severe head and chest injuries, the standard six airbags (twin front, side and curtain) are deployed to cushion your head and upper body. At the same time, the front passenger seatbelts, equipped with pre-tensioners and belt force limiters, prepare and release you slowly into the airbags. Reducing the risk of upper body injuries.

Optimal protection.

The Polo delivers on safety on every front. You and your passengers are kept safe with 3 point seats belts which come as standard on the Polo, complimented by visual and acoustic warnings for unfastened front and driver seat belts. And, if an accident is unavoidable, the front passenger seatbelts, equipped with pre-tensioners and belt force limiters, prepare and release you slowly into the Polo’s six airbags, reducing the risk of upper body injuries

Athletic design, functional safety.

What helps to make up the perfect safety package? Front fog lights. Designed to considerably improve illumination in poor visibility, the Polo's front fog lights* come as optional in the 77TSI and 66TDI Comfortline models, with a static cornering function adding a sporty element to this solid safety feature.

Active safety system.

ESP helps ensure that the vehicle goes where you steer it, even in extreme driving conditions. Should a situation arise in which the vehicle starts to skid, ESP will apply brakes to individual wheels and automatically adjust the engine’s power output to correct the problem.

Kind to the environment.

The 66kW TDI engine is incredibly fuel-efficient with impressively low C02 emissions. Its 1.6-litre common rail turbo diesel engine is fitted with a diesel particulate filter, running on a very lean 4.7L/100km* for manual and 4.6L/100km* for DSG. But it doesn’t hold back on performance. It delivers a stimulating 66kW of power and 230Nm of torque, driving you further for cheaper.

Its 1.2 litre TSI petrol engine delivers a thrilling 77kW of power and 175Nm of torque, thanks to its direct-injection turbocharged technology, which also offers an efficient fuel consumption of just 5.5L/100km*. And with a choice of 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, it’s the perfect drive for everyone.

132kW twincharged TSI petrol engine

Feel the thrilling power of a TSI combined with the nimble, rail-like handling of a Polo. It’s 1.4 litre, twincharged TSI engine yields a whopping 132kW of pure power and 250Nm of mind-blowing torque. Complemented by the smooth 7-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) as standard for effortless gear shifting. And Extended Electronic Differential Lock (XDL) for greater grip and handling for sharper cornering.
