Distinctive Golf Signature.

This is why they’ve kept the distinctive Golf, with its signature powerful lines. Like its brother, there’s the powerful and broad lower air intake, decorated with a slim line radiator grille and framed by upward angled headlights. And even though the boot is bigger it’s still got those elegant rear light clusters, subtle full body coloured bumper and exposed dual exhaust tail pipes.

More Golf space.

Inside this stylish shell is a cabin packed full of space, 505 litres, to be exact. And that's without the 60/40 split rear seats dropped down. Once folded down, there’s 1,495 litres of loading room all the way to the driver’s seat (Which can be easily accessed through the lowered, wide loading sill.) Meaning you’ve got plenty of room for whatever you need to transport around.

Standard 16” Sedona alloy wheels across all Golf Wagon models, elegantly emphasise its sporty stance, contrasting the body coloured bumper bars and handles. Optional 17" Porto alloy wheels add charisma to the 118TSI and 103TDI Comfortline models.*

The Golf Wagon may be one stylish car, but its beauty goes beyond skin deep. We’re not sure how you’ll feel about the Golf Wagon. Maybe you’ll first need to feel the ergonomically designed, height adjustable driver’s seat. Or the dual zone climate control air conditioning,* which keeps you comfortable any time of year. Perhaps you want the hands-free communication from the optional Bluetooth phone connectivity and tactile, sculptured steering wheel. And music lovers will enjoy the MP3 compatible RCD310 audio system. We’re hoping you’ll feel good about the Golf Wagon - because when you do, we do too.

*Dual zone climate control air conditioning is standard on the 118TSI and 103TDI Comfortline models. The 90TSI and 77TDI Trendline models have manual control air conditioning.

Rear View Camera (Optional)

The optional Rear View Camera (RVC)* with static guidance lines provides another dimension of rear ground visibility and safety. Even the trickiest parking spot becomes a breeze. When reverse gear is engaged, the driver is provided with a clear view of what’s behind the vehicle. On-screen guidance lines assist entry into difficult parking spaces.

*RVC is available in conjunction with optional RCD510 Volkswagen Sound premium audio system or optional RNS510 satellite navigation system. Both RVC and RCD510 are optional for 118TSI and 103TDI Comfortline models. They are not available for 90TSI and 77TDI Trendline models.

Park Assist (Optional)

Park Assist is able to manoeuvre the vehicle into spaces with as little as 1.1 metres in addition to the length of the vehicle, with several moves if necessary. If there’s enough room to park, Park Assist automatically takes charge of the steering when you select reverse gear. The accelerator, clutch and brake are all you need to control as the Golf is expertly parked for you.

Optical Parking System (Optional)

The Optical Parking System (included with optional Park Assist with parking sensors) takes the parking aid/parking sensor concept to a new level. A silhouette of the Golf Wagon is displayed on the radio or navigation system screen during parking, showing the Golf Wagon’s position and distance from obstacles. Any obstacle within range of the ultrasonic sensors is shown on screen.

Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP)

ESP helps ensure that the vehicle goes where you steer it, even in extreme driving conditions. The ESP system constantly compares the actual movement of the vehicle with carefully pre-determined values. Should a situation arise in which the vehicle starts to skid, ESP will apply the brakes to individual wheels and automatically adjust the engine’s power output to correct the problem. It also minimises the likelihood of spinning off on a curve due to understeering or oversteering.

Protect your passengers.

In the event of an accident, the Wagon’s safety features work together to give maximum protection to you and your occupants. The rigid and reinforced body structure creates a solid passenger cell, absorbing the energy of the impact. Belt tensioners and six airbags (twin front, side and curtain) are then deployed to help reduce the risk of severe head and chest injuries.

Brake when you need to.

In fact, when you brake in an emergency situation, the Wagon’s Brake Assist system increases pressure to trigger the ABS, allowing you to maintain steering control while decelerating, with the Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD)   regulating your braking pressure front to rear.

Our innovative TSI single and twincharged petrol engines boast lower fuel consumption and emissions, combined with excellent torque and power output. Using turbocharged and direct petrol injection technology; the 1.4 litre engines available in our 90TSI and 118TSI* provide you innovative technology at an affordable price.

* The 118TSI Comfortline model has a supercharged and turbocharged (twincharged) engine.

Smoother, quieter and more efficient.

The 77TDI Trendline and 103TDI Comfortline come turbocharged with common rail diesel technology; precise amounts of fuel are injected at an exceedingly high pressure to deliver impressive torque with exceptional fuel economy. Meanwhile the clever diesel particulate filter helps to curb CO2 emissions. The result? A cleaner burning engine, with that compelling Volkswagen performance.

Seamless transitions.

Feel no loss of power or smoothness with our Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG). It cleverly pre-selects your next gear, then transfers power in only 3-4/100ths of a second. That's a whole lot quicker than the time it takes to say it. And you don’t need to worry about rollbacks when you’re on a slope. The DSG’s Hill Start Assist holds the Golf in place for 1.5 seconds on any incline greater than 5 percent when the foot brake is released, giving you enough time to make a smooth start.

* DSG transmission is optional for 90TSI Trendline, 118TSI Comfortline, GTD, GTI and R. It is standard for 103TDI Comfortline models.
