Home New Vehicles Volkswagen Caddy Van

Caddy puts the fun back into work.
Because there are more working days than weekend days, shouldn’t we be having a little fun at work?
You can see the family resemblance.
Take a look at the Caddy’s new Volkswagen emblem – it’s just a small symbol of its change in design. Further across there’s the new look bumpers, headlights and split radiator grille that reflect the Volkswagen family look. To highlight its sharp design, the Maxi Life comes with chrome detailing and colour-coded bumpers, mirrors and door handles.
And to make loading the Caddy even easier, we’ve redesigned it to include an optional sliding door on the right to access the cargo compartment. The latch for the optional tailgate with window is now electrically operated for easier opening. And if you need more room, you can always select the optional roof rails or roof racks, available from Volkswagen Accessories.
Interior flexibility
To make the most of the Caddy’s giant load space, we’ve thought about the best way you can use it to suit your needs. Which is why we’ve also given the Caddy broad sliding doors and through-loading width.
For your driving pleasure, we’ve also further enhanced the interior acoustics and design. There’s a new instrument cluster and three-spoke steering wheel as part of the updated dash, and “Place” patterned fabric upholstery in Classic Grey/Anthracite for the seats.
Safety comes as standard, every time.
To help protect you and your cargo, the Caddy comes as standard with top-of-category active safety systems. Daytime running lights help to maintain visibility on the road. Driver assistance systems – such as Electronic Stabilisation Program, ABS, EDL, Brake Assist, ASR and MSR – help you handle critical situations and dangerous corners.
Built to drive.
With the Caddy’s range of modern TDI and TSI engines, you’ll enjoy impressive performance, coupled with reduced fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions. The new TSI petrol engines are turbocharged to deliver maximum power with minimum fuel consumption.
While the TDI diesel engines are powered by high-pressure direct injection Common Rail technology, resulting in a quieter, more comfortable drive and enhanced efficiency. Driving characteristics of the Caddy have also been optimised with the new speed-sensitive, electro-mechanical power steering.
TSI160
The TSI160’s engine has been downsized in size but increased in performance. Thanks to its direct injection turbocharger, it delivers a sturdy 63kW of power and 160Nm of torque. All while using only 6.9 litres of petrol per 100km. Available with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, gear changes have been minimised to make better use of the broad torque spread.
TSI175
The TSI175’s petrol engine covers all bases. It cleverly produces 77kW of power and 175Nm of torque. Through its direct injection turbocharger, it efficiently works to get the most out of its tank, using only 7.0 litres every 100km. Excellent fuel economy is also a result of the standard 5-speed manual gearbox.
TDI engines
The Caddy’s TDI250 engine is a perfect all-rounder. It delivers 75kW of power and 250Nm of torque while only using 5.8 litres of diesel every 100km (you can thank its common-rail direct-injection technology and turbocharger for that one). The torque is accessible over a wide rev range, so there’s no lag even with a full van. Coupled with your choice of either the 5-speed manual gearbox or the new optional 7-speed DSG transmission the new Caddy TDI250 is the ultimate load-lugger.
The Caddy Maxi’s TDI engines feature a common-rail direct-injection turbocharger, providing low fuel consumption and low CO2 emissions. Opt for the economical TDI250 engine, with 75kW of power and 250Nm of torque. Or go for the powerful TDI320, delivering 103kW of power and an impressive 320Nm of torque. There’s also the option of DSG transmission: 7-speed for the TDI250 and 6-speed DSG as standard for the TDI320.
Direct Shift Gearbox
With the comfort of an automatic transmission and the sporty character of a manual, the DSG offers maximum driving pleasure. It automatically shifts gears in just a few hundredths of a second – so smooth and jerk-free that you won’t even notice it happening. And because it’s doing all the work, you can concentrate better on traffic, with the ability to react quickly if you need to. And to make your drive even more enjoyable, the noise output has been minimised to that of a passenger car, with significantly reduced fuel consumption and emissions. It also offers two driving settings – normal for economical driving, and sports mode for added response.
